Housefull director Sajid Khan has been accused for sexually harassing not one but two women. The director has been busy with the shoot of Housefull 4 which also stars another sexual harassment accused Nana Patekar. All the Akshay Kumar fans were waiting to know what would be the actor’s step to support the #MeToo movement and here’s the answer. The actor has tweeted his statement after his wife Twinkle Khanna raised questions.
Akshay has clearly stated that he requested the producers of the film to cancel the shoot until further investigation. He has also added that he won’t work with anyone who is proved to be an offender. Just a few minutes before Akki’s statement released, his wife and actress Twinkle Khanna tweeted that the Housefull team should take a firm stand against the accusations.
Akshay decision takes us back to a few days ago when Aamir Khan announced that he will no longer be a part of Mogul, as the film was set to be directed by a person tainted with sexual harassment allegations. Mogul was supposed to be directed by Subhash Kapoor who is accused for sexually harassing actress Geetika Tyagi.
The #MeToo movement is gaining momentum and by the looks of it, it's just getting started.
